Our HISTORY
CoralVue manufactures and import the highest quality saltwater aquarium products at wholesale prices to our retailers. CoralVue™ was founded in 2002 and has been growing rapidly. Our business objective is to provide the highest quality aquarium lighting at a price that any hobbyist could afford. CoralVue™ was formed by David D’Aquin who has over 12 years experience in the underwater video and lighting market for commercial divers, the US Navy and the National Geographic. Dave began using his knowledge of lighting and electronics to search for quality lighting options for the marine aquarists that are passionate about the marine hobby. In just a short time, CoralVue™ began to be know for our Reeflux Mogul and DE Metal Halide bulbs do to their unique color temperature spectrum and consistent color control production in 2005. CoralVue™ has also developed a series of high quality electronic metal halide ballasts to power these and other popular lamp on the market. We offer our ballasts in single and now the selectable wattage models. To go along with our complete line of lighting products, CoralVue™ entered into the protein skimmer and calcium reactor market in 2004 with the partnership with Reef Octopus. After years of consistently refining our products through research and development we have taken the Reef Octopus product line to the forefront of the industry. In 2006 we introduced the leading metal halide reflectors providing unrivaled penetration with refined focused light spread over the aquariums from 18″ to 40″ wide.With a increasingly refined product line CoralVue brings in the right people to back his products with professional customer service and support. In December of 2010 Chris Conti formerly of IceCap joins CoralVue. Early 2011, a fairly well known marine hobbyist Jeremy Rykiel was brought in to oversee all marketing, product control, research & development and to provide the lead support for the Reef Octopus line of products. Just resently CoralVue partnered up with Maxspect to bring their quality aquarium LED lighting options to the US market and supply their brand with our product support.
