The Luxury Cabinet (available in jet black & bone white)
The stand/cabinet is made with MDF( Medium Density Fiberboard-an E1 grade environmentally friendly material) and laminated surfaces for excellent water resistance. The stand are available in bone white and jet black laminated finish, which are neutral colors that blend with most spaces and allows the aquarium inhabitants to be the main focus. The Water FLOW System
Reef Octopus black tube overflow box is designed to make it easy to set up an aquariums’ water flow system to and from the aquarium. The translucent black and brown acrylic tube hides all the necessary pluming. Because we utilize a unique overflow and return design in our aquariums, the Black Tube Water Flow system is specifically designed to best support and work with the Reef Octopus Luxury aquariums setup. This system uses a unique bulkhead with two openings for the drain and return plumbing through one bulkhead. It also contains 2 useful 1/4″ JG ( John Guest) pipe ports for adding the effluent of a calcium reactor, kalk feed or top off water.

The Sump
As the main source of filtration, the reef octopus sump has a very simple design that is very easy to use and understand. The Reef Octopus is made specifically for the Luxury cabinet and Aquarium. The Reef Octopus sump is made of acrylic for durability and constructed with the same attention to detail as the display.

The variable height baffle allows for a versatile, compact yet efficient way to properly adjust the water level within you sump. Each Sump includes a positional hang on filter sock holder and adjustable probe mount. The main area contains the sock for mechanical filtration and enough space to adequately house the protein skimmer, heater and other devices which are baffled off from the return section.

Description:

The Reef Octopus® skimmers are powered by the Hailea OTP pumps. They are built with high quality acrylic. The skimmer has a gate valve output which allows for more adjustment of the skimmer compared to ball valves. The collection cup has a quick release neck for easy removal for cleaning. It requires 1/2 inch of clearance to remove the cup. The Octopus skimmers uses metric plumbing parts. The pump has an improved venturi design and pinwheel impeller. The DNWB skimmer requires a feed pump to feed water to the skimmer. The recommended maximum flow rating for this skimmer is 250gph. These numbers are based on zero back pressure on the output plumbing. If you add 90 degree bends on the plumbing back to a sump you may need to back off the amount of water being feed through the skimmer. We recommend that you use a ball valve inline from your feed pump to the skimmer allowing you to control the water flow. Below are the test results from the old impeller to the new improved impeller.

The SSS stands for Super Sump Saver. Our new Water Blaster pumps are based off the same design as our popular  Bubble Blaster skimmer pumps but intended for water circulation. These pumps feature a digital control circuit board inside that controls directional start up and RPM speeds. This smart circuit board will shut the pump off if it detects a problem. Something never seen before on internal or external pumps is the Silicone Nitride shafts and bearings that we use. The benefit of this material is that it will not allow calcium to adhere to it like ceramic. Our Bubble Blaster skimmer pumps are a true innovation to the aquarium hobby. While all other skimmer pumps on the market are modified water pumps from a water pump manufacturer the Bubble Blaster pumps were designed and built to be a skimmer pump first! These pumps feature a digital control circuit board inside that controls directional start-up and RPM speeds. This smart circuit board will shut the pump off if it detects a problem. Description:

Zeolith-based probiotic filtration is becoming a popular form of filtration. By utilizing the nutrient processing traits of selective bacteria strains as well as a substrate facilitative to their metabolic needs, Zeolith-based probiotic filtration effectively creates Ultra Low Nutrient (ULN) conditions that most closely mimic reef environments. Our Zeolith reactors feature dual chambered agitators to effectively eliminate jamming and reduce wear on the pump. Maintenance is very easy due to the effective design and union ball valve to remove the pump.

A Kalk reactor is a great way to keep Calcium levels and PH up in your reef tank. The Kalk reactor takes fresh water and mixes it up with Calcium Hydroxide to make a saturated solution. This solution is then dripped in to your tank as your sole source of make-up water. The calcium in this solution is critical for the strong growth of stony corals, clams, and other critters that use the calcium for building shells and skeletons. You can either gravity feed through the Kalkreactor from a freshwater top-off system to your reservoir, or use a dosing pump.
